Total shipments of portland and blended cement, including imports, in the United States and Puerto Rico in November 2025 were an estimated 7.86 million metric tons (Mt) compared with 7.84 Mt in November 2024, according to the most recent USGS Mineral Industry Survey. Shipments for the year through November totaled an estimated 94.6 Mt, a 1.9% decrease from those for the same period in 2024.
Of total blended tonnage reported year-to-date in 2025, 58.7 Mt (96%) was estimated to be portland-limestone cement (Type IL); the leading destination for Type IL shipments by tonnage was Texas.
The leading producing states for portland and blended cement in November 2025 were, in descending order, Texas, Missouri, California, Florida and Alabama. The leading cement-consuming states (Texas, Florida, California, Ohio and Georgia, in descending order) received 37.9% of shipments in November.
Masonry cement shipments totaled an estimated 140,000 metric tons in November 2025, a 17.2% decrease from those in November 2024. Shipments for the year through November totaled an estimated 1.95 Mt, a decrease of 4.6% from those for the same period in 2024. The leading masonry cement-consuming states in November 2025 were, in descending order, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia and California; these states received 54.9% of shipments in November.
Clinker production, excluding Puerto Rico, totaled an estimated 6.56 Mt in November 2025, a 4.0% increase from that in November 2024. Production for the year through November totaled an estimated 63.2 Mt, a 3.4% decrease from the same period in 2024. The leading clinker-producing states in November 2025 were, in descending order, Texas, Missouri, California, Florida and Alabama.
